Job Summary:
The QA Technician is responsible for the food safety, quality and aesthetics of the product. The QA Technician follows through on set processes and ensurea adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, BRC or Safe Quality food (SQF) standards and product quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring critical control points (CCP) as directed by the QA Manager
- Oversees and reports to manager on their daily findings including production GMP's
- Responsible for monitoring and product food safety and quality throughtout the manufacturing process
- responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other area required
- responsiblefor the accurate recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
- Ensure the cirrect recipe guidelines for products are met during process.
- Perform Inspections on Products, Equiptment and Machinery
- Perform on going program verification, validations like lable cooking instructions.
Work Environment:
In performing the duties of this job, loud noise, vibration, variable temperature in coolers and freezers
Qualifications:
Must be able to carry and lift 25lb - 50lbs
The employee is infrequently required to sit, climb, balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Self Motivated with proven leadership skills
Proficient in Microsoft wod, excel, email, HS equivalent math skills.
Prior experience with USDA frozen foods industry is a plus
Must be abe to work in a team environment.
Bilingual in English/Chinese/Spanish is a plus
Must have a positive attitude
Must have a good written and oral english comminication skills
Flexibility availability, they work night and weekend shifts, Full time (40 hours per week, may required up to 10 hours per day) potential for overtime, work through holidays or weekends may be required.
